April 3

Today in class we met at the garden. We learned where we can get water and where to find the gardening tools. We also where to told to put our compost and our gardening area. We talked as a class about food security in Athens and how the garden only costs about $25 for the summer. This is so cheap and can save families a lot of money on groceries. Then we met in our groups and discussed what age group we were going to plant. We decided to grow crops for pregnant women.

In class we turned in our three ideas for the group project and three agencies for our agency project. Unfortuantely, Dr. Holben gave me a wild card so I don't have an agency yet. We also met in our groups and talked about what we are going to grow in the garden and when we are going to meet. I think we are going to grow peanuts, spinach, and peppers. Then Dr. Holben finished the powerpoint about food insecurity.
