April 10

   Today we got to watch a video clip of a cartoon about how a bill sits at Capital hill waiting to become a law.We also went over the powerpoint of  the health and nutrition policy and discussed how as Dietitians we may one day have to write a note to the senate. Dr. Holben also went over what things are on the first exam. It seems like alot of essays and will take a long time to complete. Also we talked about eating on $2/day for five days. This seems so hard! Also we meet with our groups and worked on the workbook pages for our final project and decided that everyone will have to find a cited website about what pregnant women need.

April 12

  We watched a movie about a farmer's market called Right Choice, Fresh Start. The movie was about the first day the market open and what it took for this to happen. It also benefit the community in several ways, some people even got a $50 voucher. The market was even outside the doctor's office so after their visit the patients could go right to the market. We also dicussed the agency assignment. I have People's Garden which gardens that help out and benefit communities. There are certain characteristics that the garden must have to become part of the People's garden. This is a very interesting project and can't wait to hear about other people's assignments!
